China Silicomanganese Alloy Market Movement: Silicomanganese Alloy Market Remains Steady (2013-1-7)

After Hebei Iron & Steel raised silicomanganese alloy bidding prices, quotes in some regions were up, and spot supply increased.

SHANGHAI, Jan. 7 (SMM) – After Hebei Iron & Steel raised silicomanganese alloy bidding prices, quotes in some regions were up, and spot supply increased. Silicomanganese alloy market remained steady, with ex-works prices for SiMn 65/17 in Tianjin RMB 7,350/mt (by acceptance). Hebei Iron & Steel raised prices by RMB 50/mt, to RMB 7,350/mt. Shasteel, Wuhan Iron & Steel and Shandong Iron & Steel held prices steady. Spot market was not boosted, with slight adjustments in some regions.
