NPI Prices Temporarily Stable after New Year Holiday

SHANGHAI, Oct. 4 (SMM) – Mainstream traded prices of high-grade NPI (Ni 10-15%) were between RMB 1,160-1,170/mtu, RMB 1,180-1,200/mt for medium-grade NPI (Ni 6-8%), RMB 1,190-1,210/mtu for NPI (Ni 4-6%) and RMB 2950-3,000/mtu for low-grade NPI (Ni 1.6-1.7%).
Prices for NPI were temporarily stable after holiday.
SMM believes that most stainless steel mills will place orders with NPI producers in the following two weeks due to stock replenishment demand before holiday, but transactions will reduce during Chinese New Year holiday.
