China Silicomanganese Alloy Market Movement: Silicomanganese Alloy Prices Remain Largely Unchanged (2012-12-31)
Dec 31, 2012 18:32Silicomanganese alloy prices did not change noticeably today.
SHANGHAI, Dec. 31 (SMM) – Silicomanganese alloy prices did not change noticeably today. Following bidding prices of Hebei Iron & Steel and Shasteel, bidding prices at steel plants in north China were raised by RMB 50/mt, while prices in south China were flat on a MoM basis. The market was very quiet as some enterprises closed due to the New Year holiday. Some silicomanganese alloy producers slightly raised quotes by RMB 50/mt following steel plants raising bidding prices. SMM sources report ex-works prices of SiMn 65/17 in Ningxia were RMB 6,950/mt.
