SMM Weekly Review on Brass Imports (Nov. 26-30)

Profits on imported brass shrank marginally to around RMB 550/mt, so domestic importers shifted to the sidelines.

SHANGHAI, Dec. 5 (SMM) –Turning to the brass market, CIF quotations for US brass, Western marched higher to USD 5,050-5,100/mt last week. CIF quotations for Bulgarian brass inched up to approximately USD 4,760/mt, and roughly USD 4,630/mt for German and Spanish brass. Mainstream offers for US brass, Western held between RMB 38,200-38,600/mt on China’s domestic markets. Profits on imported brass shrank marginally to around RMB 550/mt, so domestic importers shifted to the sidelines.
