SMM Weekly Review on Brass Imports (Nov. 19-23)

Profits on imported brass held about RMB 600/mt, so domestic importers chose a wait-and-see stance.

SHANGHAI, Nov. 27 (SMM) –Turning to the brass market, CIF quotations for US brass, Western ticked up to around USD 5,020-5,050/mt last week. CIF quotations for Bulgarian brass trended marginally higher to approximately USD 4,730/mt, and roughly USD 4,600/mt for German and Spanish brass. Mainstream offers for US brass, Western rebounded slightly to RMB 38,200-38,600/mt on China’s domestic markets. Profits on imported brass held about RMB 600/mt, so domestic importers chose a wait-and-see stance.
