SHFE 1212 aluminum contract prices retreated below RMB 15,300/mt on Tuesday, dragging down spot aluminum prices in south China below RMB 15,100/mt.

SHANGHAI, Oct. 30 (SMM) – SHFE 1212 aluminum contract prices retreated below RMB 15,300/mt on Tuesday, dragging down spot aluminum prices in south China below RMB 15,100/mt. Mainstream traded prices in south China market were RMB 15,080-15,100/mt, at discounts of RMB 50/mt over prices in Shanghai. Downstream producers and middlemen showed limited interest in buying at lower prices. Overall trading remained light.
