South China Aluminum: Spot Prices Hit a New Low for the Year on Strong Bearishness

SHFE 1212 aluminum contract prices extended losses on Friday, triggering bearish mood in spot market.

SHANGHAI, Oct. 26 (SMM) – SHFE 1212 aluminum contract prices extended losses on Friday, triggering bearish mood in spot market. Mainstream traded prices in south China market fell to RMB 15,200-15,220/mt, a new low for the year. Supply was extremely ample, whereas downstream producers and middlemen refrained from buying before the weekend, depressing trading.
