SHANGHAI, Oct. 23 (SMM) – COMEX gold for December delivery opened at USD 1,721.4/oz and closed at USD 1,726.3/oz on October 22, up USD 2.3/oz or 0.13%, USD 0.45/oz lower than London’s USD 1,726.75/oz in the afternoon. Highest and lowest COMEX prices during the day were USD 1,730.6/oz and USD 1,714.8/oz.
COMEX silver for December delivery opened at USD 32/oz and finally closed at USD 32.252/oz, up USD 0.155/oz or 0.48% from the previous trading day, and USD 0.082/oz lower than London’s USD 32.17/oz. Highest and lowest COMEX prices during the day were USD 32.5/oz and USD 31.7/oz.
COMEX gold for December delivery moved up on Monday since Germany Chancellor’s said the country may agree the delay of the deadline for Greece to achieve its fiscal goal, boosting the euro and gold prices. On October 23, gold prices are expected to weaken.
