South China Aluminum: Spot Prices Inch Up on Dip-Buying

The SHFE 1212 aluminum contract rebounded slightly and hovered near RMB 15,500/mt, prompting downstream producers and middlemen in south China to purchase at low prices.

SHANGHAI, Oct. 18 (SMM) – The SHFE 1212 aluminum contract rebounded slightly and hovered near RMB 15,500/mt, prompting downstream producers and middlemen in south China to purchase at low prices. Mainstream traded prices edged up to RMB 15,320-15,340/mt as a result. Trading turned thinner as low-priced goods decreased.
