South China Aluminum: Spot Trading Thin on Bearish Sentiment

The most active SHFE aluminum contract hovered around RMB 15,450/mt on Monday, so bearish sentiment in south China spot market persisted.

SHANGHAI, Oct. 15 (SMM) - The most active SHFE aluminum contract hovered around RMB 15,450/mt on Monday, so bearish sentiment in south China spot market persisted. Mainstream traded prices edged down to RMB 15,270-15,290/mt. Buying interest was low among downstream producers, while cargo holders held prices firm at RMB 15,280/mt, leaving trading thin.
