China Imports and Exports of Copper and Aluminum in September 2012

China Imports and Exports of Copper and Aluminum
SHANGHAI,Oct. 13 -- According to the preliminary data from the General Administration of Customs, China's imports of unwrought copper and copper semis were 394,837 mt during September, with YTD imports from January to September at 3,619,199 mt, up32.6 % YoY. China's imports of scrap copper were 460 kt during September, with YTD imports from January to September at 35.5 million mt, up 3.6% YoY.
 
China's imports of unwrought aluminum and aluminum semis were102,230 mt in September, with YTD imports from January to September at 931,197 mt, up 39.4 % YoY. Alumina imports were 480 kt during September, with YTD imports from January to September at 3720 kt, up 212.3% YoY. China's imports of scrap aluminum were 230 kt during September, with YTD imports from January to September at1940 kt, up 1.74% YoY. China's exports of unwrought aluminum were 60,804 mt in September, with YTD exports from January to September at 501,267mt, down 9.5% YoY.
