The most active SHFE aluminum contract drifted lower after a low opening on Monday due to a lack of confidence from investors.

SHANGHAI, Oct. 8 (SMM) – The most active SHFE aluminum contract drifted lower after a low opening on Monday due to a lack of confidence from investors. Cargo holders were eager to move goods due to increased arrivals in south China market after the holidays. Most sellers held offers firm at RMB 15,440/mt. Downstream processors seldom rebuilt stocks, leaving overall trading light.
