Kazakhstan Jan-May Zinc, Gold Output Up, Copper Down

Kazakhstan produced 137,011 tons of copper in January-May, down by 0.7% YoY.

Jun 13, 2012 (Dow Jones) MOSCOW-- Kazakhstan produced in January-May 132,395 metric tons of zinc, 0.3% more than in the corresponding period last year, the state statistics agency reported Wednesday.

Copper output during the period fell by 0.7% on the year to 137,011 tons.

Gold output in January-May was 15.35 tons, 1.7% more than in January-May 2011. Silver output was 383.975 tons, about 50% more than a year ago.
