China Stocks Edge Down at Midday

Chinese shares edged down in the morning session Friday, with the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index down 0.4 percent to end the morning session at 2,341.54.

BEIJING, May 25 (Xinhua) -- Chinese shares edged down in the morning session Friday, with the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index down 0.4 percent to end the morning session at 2,341.54.

The Shenzhen Component Index dropped 0.94 percent to end at 9,890.91.
