SHANGHAI, Mar. 30 (SMM) –Quotations for spot copper discounts were between negative RMB 250-180/mt in Shanghai in the morning business Friday. Traded prices for standard-quality copper were between RMB 59,230-59,330/mt, and RMB 59,280-59,370/mt for high-quality copper. SHFE copper prices rebounded slightly, but spot copper discounts narrowed slightly. Cargo offered by sellers on the spot market became stable on the last trading day before the Qingming Festival. Traders made limited purchases for risk aversion ahead of the holiday, while downstream producers increased buying. The price spread between standard- and high-quality copper remained small, overall transaction volumes improved significantly from the previous day.
