BEIJING, Mar 21, 2012 (Dow Jones) -- China's refined copper imports in February more than doubled compared with last February to 375,831 metric tons, the General Administration of Customs said Wednesday.
Refined copper imports rose 12% compared with January and 137.6% on year, Customs said.
Imports in the first two months rose 76% to 711,311 tons, it said.
China's copper concentrate imports in February rose 58% on year to 627,911 tons, it said. In the first two months, copper concentrate imports rose 28% to 1.2 million tons.
China is the world's largest copper consumer.
