Russia January-February Aluminum Output +4.2%, Copper -2.6%

Russia's copper output in January-February fell by 2.6% compared with January-February 2011.

MOSCOW, Mar 21, 2012 (Dow Jones) -- Russia's primary aluminum output in January-February increased by 4.2% compared with the corresponding period last year, the federal statistics service reported late Tuesday.

The statistics service doesn't give non-ferrous metals output volumes in tonnages, only the percentage change.

Russia's copper output in January-February fell by 2.6% compared with January-February 2011, its nickel output increased by 0.1% on the year and its zinc output increased by 3.8%. Lead output increased by 1.5% and bauxite output increased by 10%.
