SHAGHAI, Jan. 9 (SMM) – The most active SHFE aluminum prices struggled at RMB 15,900/mt level on Monday. In South China, spot aluminum prices were resilient to declines compared to other regions due to tight goods supply, despite slight decrease with the SHFE aluminum prices. Downstream buyers were actively replenishing stocks ahead of the Chinese New Year holiday, driving up spot prices with main transactions done at RMB 15,980-16,020/mt. Transactions were relatively brisk.
