SHANGHAI, Dec. 20 (SMM) – The most active SHFE aluminum contract prices struggled at RMB 15,700/mt mark on Tuesday, depressing spot aluminum market. In South China, goods holders’ quotations for main transactions were firm at RMB 15,950-15,970/mt due to lower self-owned inventories. Price declines were not as great as in East China. Downstream buyers only purchased on as-needed basis, leaving trading modest.
