Shanghai Spot Copper Price Movement on Dec. 16

Shanghai spot copper offers were quoted between premiums of positive RMB 20-180/mt today.

SHANGHAI, Dec. 16 (SMM) –Shanghai spot copper offers were quoted between premiums of positive RMB 20-180/mt today. Traded prices for standard-quality copper were between RMB 54,400-54,550/mt, and RMB 54,450-54,700/mt for high-quality copper. Although SHFE copper prices rebounded slightly, prices were relatively low after the delivery day for SHFE current-month copper contracts, helping spot copper offers turn from discounts to premiums. Both imported and domestic copper increased. As SHFE copper prices stopped falling temporarily and the weekends near, trading sentiment improved in the market.
