SHANGHAI, Nov. 21 (SMM) – SHFE 1202 aluminum contract became the most active SHFE aluminum contract on Monday, with prices struggling to stand at RMB 16,000/mt. Inventories in South China spot market remained a low level. Despite weak performance in futures market, cargo holders were more reluctant to move goods for lower prices, pushing spot prices up slightly to RMB 16,160-16,180/mt. Meanwhile, buyers still purchased as needed, but overall transactions improved over limited supply.
