LONDON, Oct 21, 2011 (Dow Jones) -- China's aluminum output in September fell 1.1% on the month to 1.581 million metric tons, the International Aluminum Institute said Friday.
Output was, however, significantly higher than the same month of 2010, when production totaled 1.309 million tons.
The IAI said daily output in September was 52,700 tons, up from 51,600 tons in August, and 43,600 tons in the same month the year prior.
The data was sourced from the China Nonferrous Metals Industry Association, the IAI said.
