CORRECT: China Sep Copper Production 479,000 Tons, Up 18% On Yr

China's copper output in September rose 18% from a year earlier to 479,000 metric tons, the National Bureau of Statistics said Tuesday.

SHANGHAI, Oct 18, 2011 (Dow Jones) -- ("China Sep Copper Production 479,000 Tons, Up 18% On Yr," at Oct 18, 0308 GMT, misstated the time range of copper output in the third paragraph. The correct version follows:)

China's copper output in September rose 18% from a year earlier to 479,000 metric tons, the National Bureau of Statistics said Tuesday.

Output was down 7.5% from the previous month, the bureau said.

Total output in the January-September period rose 16% to 4.11 million tons, it said.
