MF Global Daily Report - 2011/10/17 Precious Metals

Precious metals prices are expected to continue their short-term recovery in this week’s trade.

Oct. 17 (MF Global) -- Price Outlook

Precious metals prices are expected to continue their short-term recovery in this week’s trade. Support will be offered by marginal improvement in CFTC data, some positive developments in recent euro trade, and from favorable Chinese CPI data on Friday. There still are lingering doubts over the final plans for the euro which could offer pressure along with the possibility that a correction in an overbought stock market weighs on gold. We favor maintaining our bias to trade precious metals as positive affairs in the near-term.
