Metals rose yesterday, but the advance was not as convincing as what we saw in other markets, particularly in US equities, where the Dow tacked on 329 points, while the S&P and NASDAQ each finished the day with a 3.5% advance. Oil gained almost $3 a barrel, while the Euro had one of its best sessions in recent weeks, ending up almost $.03 higher at one point against the dollar to almost reach $1.37.
