China Stocks Close Mixed on Friday

China's stocks closed mixed on Friday, the last trading day before the two bourses in Shanghai and Shenzhen begin a seven-day closing ended Oct. 7 as the nation starts its National Day Holiday.

BEIJING, Sept. 30 (Xinhua) -- China's stocks closed mixed on Friday, the last trading day before the two bourses in Shanghai and Shenzhen begin a seven-day closing ended Oct. 7 as the nation starts its National Day Holiday on Oct. 1.

The benchmark Shanghai Composite Index fell 0.26 percent, or 6.12 points, to close at 2,359.22 points.

The Shenzhen Component Index rose 0.04 percent, or 4.43 points, to finish at 10,292.33.

The two bourses will also be closed on the weekend of Oct. 8 and Oct. 9, and will resume trading on Oct. 10.
