SHANGHAI, Sept. 28 (SMM) – According to a recent SMM survey, with mobile phone and liquid crystal display (LCD) etc. industries entering their high seasons in September, the medium to high end polishing power market is warming up, as reflected by the significant growth in output and sales of the product.

Output and sales of polishing powders plummeted this July due to drastically fluctuating rare earths prices. With improving downstream demand in September, the polishing powder market is stepping up from the bottom. Sales of polishing powder have seen tremendous growth in September compared with July and August, and are expected to see even higher growth in October, according to a sales person of a polishing power producer in Shanghai. A person working in a Shenzhen based polisher powder producer which mainly produces medium to high end polishing powders also expects an around 20% growth in sales of the product this September, as downstream demand has been rising since late August.
