SHANGHAI, Sept. 20 (SMM) –Based on the SMM survey result, the turnover period of scrap copper inventories was enough for four days over the past week. There were mainly two reasons behind the stable scrap copper inventories. First, goods arrivals recently were very limited since importers earlier were unwilling to place orders, with some of them already ordered by buyers, resulting in limited increases in scrap copper inventories. Second, a low price gap between scrap and refined copper failed to attract buyers to make purchases, while traders were also unwilling to sell at low prices, keeping transactions muted in the scrap copper market.
