LME lead prices overnight fluctuated between USD 2,350-2,390/mt during Asian trading hours.

SHANGHAI, Aug. 19 (SMM) -- LME lead prices overnight fluctuated between USD 2,350-2,390/mt during Asian trading hours. US home sales in July dropped 3.5%, while the jobless claims data last week was also worse than expected, both pushing down stocks markets. The US dollar fluctuated to rise to 74.4, dragging down LME lead prices to USD 2,300/mt, with prices finally closing at USD 2,298/mt, down USD 77/mt, a retreat of 3.24%. LME lead prices should fluctuate between USD 2,280-2,350/mt today.

The US dollar index rose to close at 74.36.

Domestic spot lead prices should be between RMB 15,900-16,100/mt.
