Luvata Group To Expand Mississippi Aluminum Parts Plant

Finland's Luvata Group will invest $1 million to expand its aluminum parts output at the company's plant in Grenada, Miss., the company said Tuesday.

NEW YORK, Aug 16, 2011 (Dow Jones) -- Finland's Luvata Group will invest $1 million to expand its aluminum parts output at the company's plant in Grenada, Miss., the company said Tuesday.

The expansion will be completed during 2012, the company told Dow Jones Newswires.

The international metals fabricator supplies copper and aluminum products to a variety of manufacturers across North America, Europe and Asia.

Luvata's Grenada facility makes aluminum parts for the heating, air-conditioning and refrigeration industry. Luvata is the world's biggest producer of coils and coolers for cooling and refrigeration applications.

"This expansion is driven by the demand for more energy-efficient and environmentally friendly products," Luvata's Chief Executive John Peter Leesi said in a statement.
