150-kt Low-oxygen Copper Rod Put Into Production at Xinxing Ductile Pipes

SHANGHAI, Aug. 8 (SMM) –Based on SMM sources, the newly built 150-kt low-oxygen copper rod production line at Xinxing Ductile Pipes (Zhejiang) Copper Industry Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as “Xinxing Ductile Pipes”) will be formally put into production this week, with August output planed to exceed 7,000 mt. 
Xinxing Ductile Pipes, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Xinxing Ductile Pipes Property (Investment) Development Co., Ltd., is located in Huanshan Copper Industrial Park, with a 20-kt annual capacity for low-oxygen copper rods. The 150-kt low-oxygen copper rod project is one of the investing projects in Xinxing Ductile Pipes.
In addition, Xinxing Ductile Pipes plans to complete a refined copper capacity of 300 kt/yr within three years, and the first phase project (having a 100 kt refined copper capacity) will be put into production by the end of this year. With regard to this issue, SMM will make follow-up reports.
