Only 20% Lead-acid Battery in Guangdong Maintain Production

among the 191 lead-acid battery enterprises in Guangdong province, 161 were shut down. Only less than 20% enterprises are still maintaining production,

SHANGHAI, Aug. 4 (SMM)--Guangdong Provincial Bureau of Environmental Protection released the list of all local lead-acid battery processing, assembling and recycling companies in Guangdong province on July 29. According to the result, among the 191 lead-acid battery enterprises in Guangdong province, 161 were shut down. Only less than 20% enterprises are still maintaining production, including 20 enterprises producing, 6 enterprises restricted production and 1 enterprises running commissioning.

Among the 20 enterprises in commission, there are several of large scale including Xiongtao Power Supply Technology Co., Ltd., Guangdong Mengshi Power Supply Technology Co., Ltd., Haizhi Power Supply (Huizhou) Co., Ltd., Guangdong Keshida Industry Technology Co., Ltd., Hitachi Battery (Dongguan) Co., Ltd. and Zhaoqing Lishi Power Supply Technology Co., Ltd.

There are 6 enterprises restricted production including Zhuhai PowerPro Manufacturing Co., Ltd., Yuasa Battery (Guangdong) Co., Ltd., Foshan Huandu Industry Co., Ltd., Shunde District Ronggui Dongyuan County Battery Plant and Shunde District Ronggui Dafu Wanling Battery Plant. Besides, Huizhou City Yidian Battery Technology Co., Ltd. is running pilot production.

The inspection involves in 191 lead-acid battery enterprises, including 111 battery assembling enterprises, 7 polar plate processing enterprises, 11 battery recycling enterprises, and 51 enterprises processing polar plates and assembling batteries. Besides, there are 11 enterprises without explicit label of production type. Among the 161 enterprises closed, 25 are eliminated, 28 suspended, 92 are shut down for inspection, 15 will transform and one is to move.
