SHFE #1 Lead Price Movement on Aug. 3, 2011

SHFE lead prices opened lower then rose.

SHANGHAI, Aug. 3 (SMM)--SHFE lead prices opened lower then rose today. Domestic well-known brands such as Nanfang and Tongguan were initially quoted around RMB 16,770/mt, with discounts of negative RMB 350-370/mt against SHFE 1109 lead contract prices. Prices of well-known brands rose to RMB 16,800-16,830/mt along with SHFE lead prices, with discounts unchanged. Other brands such as Shuangyan and Baiyin were quoted between RMB 16,700-16,730/mt. The brand of Yuguang was available in the market, with offers around RMB 16,850/mt. Transactions were still quiet.

SHFE 1510 lead opened at RMB 13,520/mt for night trading last Friday and once dipped to RMB 13,330/mt.
