SHANGHAI, Jan. 7 (CBI China) -- Dow Jones AIG index will adjust its commodity index weight and may increase the proportion of copper. The capital flowed into market, and copper prices rebounded strongly due to short-covering. LME copper closed at USD 3,445/mt, up USD 238/mt. SHFE copper increased to limit for three straight days and will stop trading today. The spot market transactions became active due to the buyers` sentiment, but CBI believes that the rebound is limited and will not support the copper prices rising given the weak demand.
