SHANGHAI Sep. 14 (CBI China)--U.K. based MCP Aramayo Group and the Sidech Group from Belgium recently merged all operations to form the MCP Group SA, creating a global leader in the bismuth and selenium markets. Combined, the two groups purchase more than 70% of China's bismuth output.

The merger will likely give the new company greater influence in China's bismuth market. Several large domestic bismuth manufacturers also recognize the new clout the MCP Group will have and plan to establish some form of industrial association to help protect their interests.
