SHANGHAI Aug. 31 (CBI China)--South Africa launched an anti-dumping investigation against aluminum extrusion products from China.  Sixteen Foshan enterprises involved in the case held a meeting to discuss their response to the suit, with Guangdong Jianmei Aluminum Profile Factory stating it would respond to the suit, with others making preparations to respond.

Domestic aluminum extrusion capacity has a surplus due to low barriers to enter this sector. China increased export taxes for aluminum rod and ingots, removing incentives to export these products.  Under these conditions, exports of aluminum extrusion should increase. If the Chinese Central Government does not issue restrictive policies to control exports of aluminum extrusion, they will increase and likely create more international trade friction.
