SHANGHAI May.25 (CBI China):On May 18th, the China Chamber of Commerce of Metals, Minerals, and Chemical Importers & Exporters required all indium exporters to report before May 21st their total export quantities for the period January to May 2007 for unwrought indium, indium scrap, powder and wrought indium. This move is necessary to enforce existing regulations on indium exports.

CBI believes this reporting requirement indicates that the Ministry of Commerce will likely announce indium export quotas which may take effect as soon as early June.
