SHANGHAI, May 19 (SMM) –Rumble was heard from three ore dressing plants belonging to Daye Nonferrous Metals Company’s Copper Mine Plant on May 17, signaling that production has completely restored.
The plant stopped production for consolidation in early 2011 due to impacts from tailings pond and the flood. All the units made good use of this opportunity to conduct widely education on situations and tasks and incorruptible culture activities. They also further improved 5S management and operation systems, looked for loopholes in current equipments and managing systems so as to complete the maintenance task excellently. Meantime, the ore plant simultaneously conducted tailing pond clearance and neighborhood migration work, creating favorable conditions for the restoration of production. To resume production as soon as possible, and through coordination from many sides, the ore plant started tailings pond mining project in mid-April, and orderly implemented related tailing pond work. At present, land acquisition and resettlement work has intensively been in progress.
