SHANGHAI, Mar.28 (SMM) -- According to data from China Non-ferrous Metals Industry Association, China’s refined lead output in February 2011 was 326.3 kt, down 7.06% MoM; YTD output was 677.4 kt from January to February, up 32.74% YoY, basically in line with the recent SMM survey. According to SMM sources, domestic primary lead producers reported two consecutive months of lower operating rates in 2011, due mainly to the Chinese New Year holiday, and unit maintenance, as well as some facilities renovation. By region, refined lead output in Henan province in 2011 was relatively stable; output in Anhui and Hunan provinces was down slightly; output in Yunnan province fell by over 50% from December 2010, due to electricity restriction and tight raw material supplies.
