NEW DELHI, Mar 21, 2011 (Dow Jones Commodities News via Comtex) -- India's state-run and private companies produced 1.34 million metric tons of aluminum in the April-January period, up from 1.25 million tons a year earlier, according to data from the ministry of mines Monday.
The country produced 545,792 tons of copper during the period, down from 581,251 tons, while its zinc output rose to 608,175 tons from 509,602 tons.
India's lead output fell to 47,018 tons in the April-January period from 52,344 tons a year earlier.
