Norilsk Nickel 2010 Nickel Output +5.1% At 297,000 Tons

MOSCOW, Jan 31, 2011 (Dow Jones Commodities News via Comtex) -- Russian polar miner OAO Norilsk Nickel (GMKN.RS) Monday said it its full-year nickel output was up 5.1% to 297,000 metric tons and said it sees a moderate increase in the metal production in 2011.

MAIN FACTS:

-Norilsk fourth-quarter nickel production 77,000 tons

-Norilsk fourth-quarter copper production 93,800 tons

-Norilsk fourth-quarter palladium production 645,000 Troy ounces

-Norilsk fourth-quarter platinum production 161,000 oz

-Norilsk 2010 nickel production up 5.1% to 297,000 tons

-Norilsk 2010 copper production down 3% to 389,000 tons

-Norilsk 2010 palladium production up 2% to 2.86M oz

-Norilsk 2010 platinum production up 5% to 693,000 oz

-Norilsk sees 2011 global nickel output between 300,000-315,000 tons

-Norilsk sees 2011 global copper output between 380,000-390,000 tons

-Norilsk sees 2011 palladium output between 2.85 million-2.87 million oz

-Norilsk sees 2011 platinum output between 705,000-720,000 oz
