DashboardDatabaseProReportsEventsCar InsightNEW DELHI, Sep 23, 2010 (Dow Jones Commodities News via Comtex) -- India's state-run and private companies produced 518,474 metric tons of aluminum in the April-May period, up from 490,594 tons a year earlier, data from the Ministry of Mines showed Thursday.
The country produced 201,870 tons of copper during the period, down from 221,632 tons a year earlier, the data showed.
Its production of zinc rose to 228,508 tons from 198,664 tons a year earlier, while that of lead grew to 18,695 tons from 17,389 tons and gold to 3.41 tons from 3.07 tons.
