Zhuzhou Smelter to Sell 140 T of Indium to Minmetals

SHANGHAI, Sept. 21 -- China's top zinc producer Zhuzhou Smelter Group Co Ltd (600961.SS: Quote) has agreed to sell 140 tonnes of indium ingot to leading Chinese metals trader Minmetal, the producer said in a filing to the stock exchange on Tuesday.

The two parties will make the deal based on market prices as well as forecasts, by Dec. 31.

China is the world's largest producer of indium, a small but vital component for the flat-panel screens used in televisions and computer monitors.
