MUMBAI, Aug. 23 -- India's state-run National Aluminium Co. (532234.BY) has floated an export tender for the sale of 30,000 metric tons of alumina, a company executive said Monday.
The alumina will be for shipment during September and last date for submission of bids will be Aug. 25, said the official who didn't wish to be named.
The company's alumina exports during the current financial year are likely to decline 28.6% from a year earlier to 500,000 tons due to tight supplies as it increases capacity at its aluminium smelter.
The sale price at Nalco's alumina tenders is usually seen as a price benchmark internationally.
Separately, the company has floated a tender for the sale of 3,000 tons of aluminum ingots.
