Antam Buys Marubeni's 15% Stake In Tayan Alumina Plant For $525,000

JAKARTA, Aug. 11 -- PT Aneka Tambang (ANTM.JK) has bought Marubeni Corp.'s(MARUY) 15% stake in the a joint venture that will build a chemical-grade alumina plant in West Kalimantan for $525,000, the state-owned Indonesian mining company known as Antam said Wednesday.

Antam said the deal boosted its stake in the Tayan Alumina project to 80%.

Showa Denko KK (4004.TO) holds the remaining 20% stake.
