China Imports and Exports of Copper and Aluminum in July

SHANGHAI, Aug. 10 -- According to the preliminary data from General Administration of Customs on August 10th, China's imports of unwrought copper and copper semis were 342,901 mt during July, with YTD imports of 2,574,929 mt, down 2.6% YoY; China's imports of scrap copper were 380 kt during July, with YTD imports of 2.41 million mt, up 10.2% YoY.

China's imports of unwrought aluminum and aluminum semis were 67,462 mt in July, with YTD imports of 587,093 mt, down 63.6% YoY; alumina imports were 270 kt during July, with YTD imports of 2.62 million mt, down 20.4% YoY; China's imports of scrap aluminum were 270 kt during July, with YTD imports of 1.65 million mt, up 36.6% YoY. China's exports of unwrought aluminum were 68,786 mt, with YTD exports of 419,008 mt, up 290.4% YoY.
