DashboardDatabaseProReportsEventsCar InsightLONDON, Jul 15, 2010 (Dow Jones Commodities News via Comtex) -- The global refined lead market was in a 34,000-metric-ton surplus in January to May, the International Lead and Zinc Study Group said Thursday.
This compares with a 94,000-ton surplus during the same period in 2009, ILZSG said.
Refined lead production during the January-to-May period was 0.8% higher at 3.529 million tons compared with a year ago.
Refined lead consumption rose 2.6% on the year to 3.495 million tons.
Global lead mine production increased 12% on the year to 1.58 million tons.
