Vale Starts Talks With Striking Nickel Workers at Voisey's Bay

TORONTO, May 26 -- Vale SA, the world's fourth-biggest nickel producer, said it started negotiations with striking workers at its mining and milling operation at Voisey's Bay in Canada.

"Talks are taking place today and tomorrow," said Cory McPhee, a spokesman for the company in Toronto.

The strike started on Aug. 1.
