Xingfa Aluminum Plans to Expand Capacity

SHANGHAI, Apr. 7 -- Market demand for aluminum profiles are growing along with the rapid development of China's industries, bringing tremendous opportunities for aluminum industry. Luo Riming, Chief Operating Officer of Xingfa Aluminum Holdings Limited (Xingfa Aluminum), said the group's profitability will enhance further in 2010 in view of the recovery in global economy and positive policies released by China's Government. Huang Zhaoqi, Chief Financial Officer of Xingfa Aluminum, revealed the group's product sales will grow steadily to 110-120 kt in 2010 compared with 2009 levels of 95 kt.

Huang said last week that the relocation of Sanshui factory has entered the final stage, and the group has built 7 production lines to meet orders demand, with capacity expected to reach 140 kt/yr in 2010. In addition, the group has begun the construction of the first phase of its new production bases located in Sichuan and Jiangxi provinces, and will put them into trial production in 4Q 2010, with official production expected in 2011, adding 20 kt/yr and 30 kt/yr new capacity to the group at that time, respectively. The group’s total capacity will expand to 300 kt/yr or above in 2014.
