SHANGHAI, Mar. 23 -- Recently, some industry experts predict operating rates at Japanese secondary aluminum smelters may fall in April.

Japanese secondary aluminum smelters said related aluminum orders from Japanese automobile manufacturers may decline following falling sales of automobile in 2Q, and they will reduce operating rates in response.

Analysis shows operating rates will likely fall to 80-90% in April on the assumption that current operating rates are 100%.
